Ongoing Political Crisis in Pakistan 2022

Since the start of 2022, the political situation in Pakistan is not stable and has been turbulent exceptionally. On April 11 Imran Khan was forced down by a new government with the help of a vote of no confidence. Now Pakistan is in the worst economical and political crisis. Shahbaz Sharif and his government is trying their best to make decisions but failing miserably every time.  It is now getting too hard for the Muslim League (N) in finding its footing, while the ousted government of Imran Khan Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is leading rallies all across the country in every big and small city of Pakistan and forcing a new government for fresh and new elections. Now we can clearly say that Pakistan is not just in a political crisis but also in an economical crisis. 

The fall of Imran Khans Government:

It is very important to understand why and how Imran Khan's government fell. Imran Khan was not able to complete his five years of a government that was supposed to last five years. Since Imran Khan came to power the opposition was using the word " Selected " which meant that Imran Khan was selected by the military instead of elected by the public of Pakistan. The opposition formed an alliance as Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in 2020. 

There are many reasons that caused the heat between Imran khan and the military, but it is important to understand that the Khans government and Military previously both have served on the same page. It is considered that the biggest reason for the fracture of the Khans government is that Imran was not agreed to the transfer of the director-general of Inter service intelligence (ISI) which was already approved by a military couple of weeks ago before the fall of Khan's government. Everyone is aware that the previous chief of ISI was an Imran loyalist, it is to be conjectured that Khan wanted the ISI chief as the next chief of army staff for the next election.

After specific actions were taken by Imran Khan military stated that it had become NEUTRAL but on the contrary, Imran Khan lost the support of the military and it was the biggest positive factor for the opposition, not just that it is stated that the opposition used the foreign funding to rule down Imran Khan government as more than two parties switched to the opposition and confederated Khans government in the National Assembly.

When Imran Khan's government collapsed he named it a conspiracy, claiming without any evidence "Regime Change by the US" following an independent foreign policy. Imran Khan not just alluded to local abettors but also claimed that the military is responsible for his exit. It is stated by the common public in Pakistan that since the fall of the Khans government Pakistan is in a political crisis the way it was never before. 

Polarization at an intense level:

Imran Khan's ejection shocked his supporter, not just that but his ejection created a huge fan following from the opposition as well. After a few days, Imran Khan called the public out to protest against the opposition party and new government, and not just Imran Khan but the public as well started to call the new government an "Imported Government" and Shahbaz Sharif new prime minister called Crime minister. Imran Khan grabbed media attention by using interviews and rallies and claims that his government has now more power because of these corrupt rulers who are not just responsible for Pakistan's political crisis but also the economical crisis as well. Imran Khan's government does not just have the support of youth but also the urban and middle-class families as well.

It is more likely possible that Imran Khan can function down the new government tenure real quick using his power of public and political plans, Imran Khan keeping the government under pressure, and the new government not just been pressurized by the opposition but also the economic state of Pakistan does not seem good.
